A medical consultation focused on the interpretation and analysis of test results will provide you with support in a situation where you want to understand what the test results say or the description you have received is not clear to you.
Dimedic doctors will analyse the test results you have sent and conduct a telephone consultation.
If necessary, they will write an e-prescription for any medication you may need or refer you for further tests, the results of which will give a broader picture of the problem you may be facing.
We created this consultation in response to many questions from our Patients who undergo various types of diagnostic tests but need the results interpreted or a consultation with a doctor after receiving them.
Our consultation also allows you to get a second opinion from a doctor - a fresh perspective from a specialist can help you better identify health problems and start treatment faster.
Or to confirm that the test results you have submitted do not indicate that there is anything worrying going on with your health.

What does a consultation for the interpretation of diagnostic test results at Dimedic involve?
The interpretation of test results can be difficult, even if you can find the normal values for specific parameters on the results sheet or online (in forums or on the websites of diagnostic laboratories).
In addition, there are many types of diagnostic tests whose results require specialised analysis or knowledge that doctors and technicians acquire through years of study and work with patients.
This is where the area of interpretation of test results by a doctor who has seen hundreds, if not thousands, of similar test results, with or without a description, begins and is able to assess what the specific test results mean.
What's more, based on an interview with the patient (for example, what was the purpose of the specific tests, did anything happen before they were carried out, etc.), they are able to better understand what the specific test result is saying.
Because if, for example, you forget that you should fast before a lipidogram test or not eat anything fatty the day before, the result will be several times above the norm, which can scare you.
In such a situation, the doctor will point this out and, for example, ask: what did you have for dinner the day before?
How does the consultation of diagnostic test results with a Dimedic doctor work?
You choose a consultation (and if necessary, log in or register at the Dimedic online clinic) and fill in a short form describing what you expect from this diagnostic test consultation (e.g. you are not sure if the description you received from the doctor is correct, you need an interpretation of the results of tests you have carried out privately, etc.).
Attach the test results you need interpreted.
Pay for the consultation.
The doctor will contact you at a time of your choosing.
After the consultation, you may receive an e-prescription, recommendations or a referral for further tests to help clarify any uncertainties about your health.
As with telephone consultations with a family doctor, there is no refund for a consultation that does not result in an e-prescription.

What kind of diagnostic tests can I consult with a Dimedic doctor?
At Dimedic, you can consult a doctor to interpret test results such as:
blood count (from basic, showing the quantitative content of blood cells or haemoglobin, through more extensive, determining the content of hormones, for example thyroid - TSH, lipidogram, liver tests, to specialised, focused on detecting cancer markers or lesions and hormonal disorders, characteristic of certain types of endocrine lesions or diseases) – these tests are the basis of diagnostics, and their correct interpretation allows to determine the general state of health and identify preliminary health problems (and, if necessary, order further tests based on them);
urine tests (very important in diagnosing diseases such as diabetes, kidney failure, and above all - determining the efficiency of the urinary system) - allow for the identification of proteins, ketones or glucose in the urine. This is another basic test that is often ordered by general practitioners (GPs), especially when they want to assess the general state of health. What is important – both a complete blood count and a urine test are generally available tests: you can have them done in many private (and not only) diagnostic laboratories without a referral from a doctor, but very rarely can you receive a comprehensive description of the results together with them. It is in such situations that you may need to consult the test results with a doctor – in our clinic: online or by phone;
colonoscopy, gastroscopy, Pap smear, mammogram, etc. – these tests also require a referral from a doctor, but it is also worth consulting the results with another specialist. Another issue is the availability of specialists who refer you for tests – you may find that you have to wait several weeks for an appointment, and you want to consult the results quickly.

How can I send my test results to the doctor for analysis?
It all depends on what form you have them in and what type of test it is.
In the case of laboratory tests (blood count, urine test, stool test, etc.), you will most often receive the results in the form of a printout or PDF file (if the laboratory offers the possibility to download the results online).
Attach the files containing your results to the medical consultation form – it can be a PDF or a photo.
If you have a referral for these specific tests, attach it as well; it will help the doctor better understand the intention of the specialist who ordered them (and what they wanted to find out about your health).
If you need a second (or third) opinion/interpretation of your test results, include previous opinions/diagnoses and describe the reason why you need an additional evaluation of the results. This will help the doctor focus on the areas that interest you and compare their assessments with the opinions of other doctors.

After the analysis of the tests, can I receive an e-prescription, a referral to a specialist or any recommendations?
As I mentioned, after a medical consultation for the interpretation of test results at Dimedic, you can receive an e-prescription, a referral to a specialist or for further tests, but only if the doctor considers it appropriate and safe for you.
After the consultation, you will receive an analysis of the test results you submitted. The doctor will use the results to assess your health and send you their conclusions.

Can I talk to a doctor about the test results I submitted, or will I only receive a message with the results?
After you have filled in the initial form and attached your test results, our doctor will contact you by phone to discuss them.
The doctor will call you on +48 42 641 20 41.
